Adviser: Romney “shellshocked” by loss

It’s amazing to me just how deceived and deceiving the Romney/Ryan campaign was. I guess after so many lies told by the Romney, the truth was simply unrecognizable. President Obama’s campaign outperformed the Romney campaign overall in several demographics, but it appears that black voters gave Obama an advantage in certain key swing states.

“More African-Americans voted in Ohio, Virginia, North Carolina and Florida than in 2008. And fewer Republicans did: Romney got just over 2 million fewer votes than John McCain.”

OBAMA WINS!

I told y’all…

Obama swept all swing states except North Carolina. Florida, as expected, landed in President Obama’s column with its 29 electoral votes bringing Obama’s grand total up to 332. A solid victory for President Obama. The President is leading the popular vote and is expected to make additional gains. Congratulations to President Obama! This was a hard fought and well-deserved victory for the President. FORWARD.

Last Minute Directive by Ohio’s Jon Husted Could See Legal Votes Discarded & Swing the Election

The Ohio Secretary of State, John Husted is a coward. He’s done everything in his power to suppress, block and disenfranchise voters in the state of Ohio. He is not worthy of the office. The latest effort to influence the 2012 presidential election in Ohio as reported by The Cleveland Leader.

“It appears that Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted, a Republican, is on a mission to suppress Ohio voters.  During the weeks leading up to Election Day, Husted has tried everything he can come up with, even defying court orders, in order to make sure that fewer people can vote early, and now get their vote counted.  A last minute directive issued by Husted could now invalidate many legal provisional ballots.”

The Three Biggest Democratic Takeaways from Election 2012

by Robert Reich

“Whether through racism, xenophobia, or homophobia, or by means of right-wing evangelical Protestantism, the GOP have found scapegoats. Blacks, immigrants, gays, and women seeking abortions aren’t responsible for the declining real wages of white men without college degrees, of course, but they are convenient targets of their anger.”

Liars’ Brains Wired Differently

There is something profoundly wrong with a person like Romney. He lies upon exhaling. His latest whopper is that Chrysler planned to move Jeep production to China. Sergio Marchionne, Chrysler CEO, says that it’s just not true. Throughout the campaign Romney has doubled-down on lie after lie. Maybe this 2005 USC study can shed some light on Mr. Romney’s pre-existing condition.
“A USC study has found the first proof of structural brain abnormalities in people who habitually lie, cheat and manipulate others.”

The Economist Endorses Obama in 2012 Election

By The Staff of The Economist

“In what must have been one of the more interesting debates of the election season, editors at The Economist have once again endorsed President Obama. This
was not a slamdunk given the president ‘s fiscal policy choices and his record on business, the editors said, but Mitt Romney could not swing them his way.”

Roosevelt and Obama

See my latest post, Roosevelt and Obama, under Salient Points.

“Let history be our teacher. When Republicans are in power, it’s anything goes. Laissez-faire capitalism is the rule and the actions of the Republican plutocrats lead the country to the brink of economic ruin.”
